Object Entry

The receipt of objects not already part of the museum's collections onto the museum's premises.

An object entry system often comprises of a bound register and triplicate object entry forms which allow one copy to be given to the depositor as a receipt, one copy to stay with the object, and one copy to the filed.

A unique number should be assigned and physically attached to the object to allow for the it to be tracked whilst in the care of the museum.
